Product maintenance

In today's hectic pace, we try to make our lives as easy as possible - however, if you decide to buy handmade ceramics, it would be good to try a little more than usual when it comes to maintaining it.

Please be aware that each piece is unique, and that it took almost a month of various manual processes to make it.

This does not apply to all pieces, but mostly to those with special details.

Glazes (paints) that are used are either industrial or handmade and are all suitable for use with food due to the extremely high temperature at which the ceramics are fired (1250C°).
The ceramics themselves, whether they are porcelain or clay, become extremely resistant after glazing and firing, and generally they are suitable for all types of washing, manual and machine, or use in a microwave oven.

The situation changes a bit if your ceramics have decorations made of some precious metals such as gold or copper lister. According to the manufacturer's declaration, these materials guarantee a certain number of washes before minor damage begins. My recommendation is that if you want your ceramics to look like new for as long as possible, use only the soft side of sponge and mild detergents to wash pieces with special details. This way you will extend the life of your favorite dining sets or cups.

Chemicals affect the softening of copper, so it can be removed much easier after machine washing. If the gilding is damaged after a long use, you can return the piece to me, and I will be happy to repair it if that is possible. When we talk about the oven and heating ceramics, you can gradually heat and cool the porcelain to avoid temperature shock and everything will be fine. On the other hand, I do not recommend putting black clay products in the oven because it is more sensitive to thermal shocks and objects can crack.

Please keep in mind that non-glazed surfaces are not 100% stain proof. Dark food like sauces or tomato can stain them, so it is important to clean them timely in order to keep the surfaces blemish free. If this still happens, warm water mixed with baking soda is a great, light abrasive cleaner.
